His academic work consisted of agent-based simulation of electricity markets, multi-paradigm simulation of health and social care in an ageing population, and more methodological studies on ways to understand, design and develop simulations. Nowadays at DSE Consulting, he still creates a lot of proof-of-concept AnyLogic models for clients and sometimes takes on larger modelling projects. He has extensive experience of simulation development (particularly agent-based modelling), both commercially and academically.Ĭommercially, he has worked for an OR/analytics consultancy (decisionLab) developing large-scale simulations for domains including aerospace and power generation.
